How are My Symptoms Related to My Nervous System?
What is my Nervous System?
Ever wonder how your heart can beat without being told? Or how your lungs know to breathe without you having to focus on it? There is something within our bodies that we are all born with that tells everything within our body what to do, how to do it, and when to do it.
The first structure formed inside our mother’s womb was something called the human notochord. This structure goes on to create the human nervous system and from that our eyes, arms, legs, heart, digestive system, immune system and all other parts and systems of our bodies are perfectly created within about 40 weeks thanks to our intelligent nervous system.
What’s more, our nervous system and the intelligence contained within it stays with us all throughout our lifetime. This is what tells our heart to beat, our lungs to breath, and communicates to all 70 trillion cells within our body. Because of this, our cells are able to repair, regenerate, reorganize and adapt making sure we survive.
Because our nervous system controls everything within our bodies when there is a shift in the tone of our nervous system the effects can be felt anywhere in the body. These issues are known as secondary effects because they are a result of a primary issue of adverse tone within our nervous system.
Remember that our nervous system is focusing on keeping us alive so when something is not right, we are going to hear about. This may be felt as a physical symptom such as an ache or pain, it may be a mental symptom like brain fog, or emotionally as stress/anxiety. Either way, this is our nervous getting our attention to alert us that something underlying is wrong and we need to take action.
In today’s world, we have countless way to mask these symptoms to make us more comfortable such as prescription drugs, alcohol, caffeine etc. The problem is none of these interventions actually treat the underlying cause and as a result, don’t promote cellular repair or regeneration to move us in the direction of Optimal Health. To truly correct these problems we must listen to what our body is telling us.
